Creating Responsive, Engaging, and Tailored Education with Students
CREATES is an Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership between six European universities with the objective to enhance practices in higher education that foster co-creation and an engaging education for students. This approach helps students develop the dispositions and competences that are essential to thrive in the 21st century: innovation and creativity, participation and responsibility, as well as critical thinking and informed judgement.
To this end, CREATES will develop and disseminate materials, or ‘intellectual outputs’, that are accompanied by multiplier events as well as training events. Four of the seven intellectual outputs are toolkits that will give practical answers to questions such as: “How to design, implement and assess courses which are co-created by students?” and “How to provide effective advising for sound curricular choices?”. The goal is to produce materials that prove useful for teachers, advisors and students in Higher Education. Three additional outputs – such as academic and position papers – will reach out to further audiences (decision-makers at Higher Education institutions, researchers and policy-makers), explaining the relevance of this kind of education.
The six partner institutions are:
- Leuphana University Lüneburg (coordinating institution)
- University of Freiburg
- King’s College London
- Sciences Po Paris
- Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa.
- Maastricht University
